SENIOR
MR. AND MRS. HOMER ENTRY RULES
All nominations for Senior
Mr. and Mrs. Homer must be turned in prior to July 14, 2003 at any
of the following registration box locations: Homer Public Library,
Homer Super Value, PS Food Mart, and Homer Vision Center. Nomination
forms can also be mailed to the Homer Business Association, PO Box
201, Homer, MI 49245.

All
nominees will be photographed and their picture, with a brief
description of why they were nominated, will run in The Index
prior to the voting time period.

The
voting time period for the Senior Mr. and Mrs. Homer will be from
July 17, 2003 -- August 1, 2003.
-
Voting
will be by ballot, and the male and female seniors with the
most votes will win the competition. Ballot boxes will
be located at the above listed locations.

Winners
will be announced following the Little Miss Homer contest, on
Saturday, August 2, 2003, at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Senior
Mr. and Mrs. Homer participants must be over the age of 65 years
old.

Senior
Mr. and Mrs. Homer do not have to be a married couple.
-
Nominated
participants must be a resident of Homer Village or the Homer
area townships.
- All Senior Mr. and Mrs. Homer contestants will be expected
to ride in the parade on Saturday, August 2, 2003, at 11:00 a.m.,
unless physically unable to do so.

The
winning Senior Mr. and Mrs. Homer may be asked to participate
in Homer area functions throughout the next year.

The
winning Senior Mr. and Mrs. Homer will be expected to crown the
2004 Senior Mr. and Mrs. Homer during festival activities, unless
physically unable to do so.
